Crew teams triumph
In varsity single races at the recent Mid-Atlantic Regionals on Mercer Lake, NJ, senior Jennifer Sager continued her triumphs, taking first in the varsity women's single and Carl Delacato placed third in the men's single. The girls' varsity quad and the lightweight varsity quad also brought home two bronzes.

Scholars named to Cum Laude Society
The Springside School and Chestnut Hill Academy Chapters of the Cum Laude Society recently held their annual induction assemblies and named new members from both the junior and senior classes.

Libbie Maine Receives 2011-2012 Girls’ Inter-Ac Award
Maine '12 has received the Girls’ Inter-Ac Athletic Directors’ Award, an award given to one outstanding female multi-sport athlete from each Inter-Ac school. The winners are outstanding multi-sport athletes who represent themselves, their team, their school, and the league with honor by exhibiting outstanding sportsmanship, leadership, and coachability.

TWO 1st Place Championships at Penn Relays
SCH girls WIN the 4x100 relay AND the 4x400 and senior Dustin Wilson takes 2nd in 3,000m in the Prep School Independent Division at Penn Relays, the first and oldest of relay meets in the country. SCH Boys 4x400 relay finished 6th in the Inter-Ac race.

It's Official: SCH Academy Named USDOE Green Ribbon School
Springside Chestnut Hill Academy has officially been named a 2012 Green Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education, making it the only school in Philadelphia County and the only private school in the state to receive this honor. SCH Academy is one of four schools in the state of Pennsylvania to be named.
